Why do you love your job?
The best part of my job is working with young, motivated teams on future topics and making them a reality, creating innovations and creating new solutions.
What did you do before willpower energy®?
I studied electrical engineering, telecommunications, signal processing, image processing. But that was a long time ago. After that I founded many technology companies in various industries and helped many researchers to patent their ideas.
What do you like in willpower energy®?
Producing clean energy, regardless of third countries and crisis regions, will always be a task. Willpower energy® does just that. We can use the recovered methanol for the car or for heating, or use it as a sensible energy store. Our system will revolutionize a lot and give us a bit of freedom, regardless of the existing infrastructure, in conurbations, as well as in remote regions.
Can you recommend a hobby?
At the moment my hobbies are missing and we have small children. But sailing and snorkelling inspire me and relax me a lot. In winter I like snowboarding in a beautiful setting.
Do you like cooking? Can you recommend something?
My family comes from the Basque Country and cooking has a long tradition among men. In San Sebastian, for example, there is a high density of star chefs. Here I like to go to Albert & Emile in the old town of Rostock, because I know Frank, I like his way, and if it should be a pizza, then L'Osteria.
Do you like traveling and where have you been? What did you like the most?
Oh yes, traveling is always recommended, I think. Alone Europe has so much to offer. But I was often in the US and the Middle East. You can always bring home precious memories wherever you go. I was fortunate enough to visit Myanmar shortly after opening for tourists. That was an experience.
Can you recommend a film or a TV series?
Series Tip: I'm not such a big fan of series, but I have to confess that many new series are very well done. For example, I've liked to watch Vikings last.
Film tip: I think of several films, but rather I would recommend to see them in the cinema, because the big screen creates a completely different experience.
